Q: Can the rubber floor systems be used outdoors as well as indoors?
Yes they can. The Rephouse line of rubber flooring products includes the Decoflex Universal floor system for indoor use and the Decoflex system for outdoor use. Both the Decoflex Universal and Decoflex floor systems can be configured for a wide range of uses from basketball & multi purpose to tennis. Other products such as the Sport Weave polypropylene carpet tile can also be used outdoors.

Q: Can I get custom-made rubber floors?
Yes you can. With Allied Products direct access to the manufactures, we are able to have the flooring manufactured to your specific color choice. Not only can you select custom colors, but you can also order custom sized color speckles. Keep in mind though, that the lead-time for custom colors can be ten weeks or so and there will likely be a minimum order size of 1,200 to 2,400 sq. ft. depending on the floor type.

Q: What kinds of sub floors are compatible with your floor systems?
Rubber, quartz, and wood flooring can be installed over concrete, asphalt, intact ceramic tile, intact VCT, or wood underlayment. The subfloor surface must be level to an industry standard 1/8” in any 10’ radius. Concrete surfaces must have cured for at least 28 days and must not have been treated with any surface applied curing compounds. In some cases, cracks or seams must be filled, taped and leveled with a suitable leveling compound.

Q: What if I want to put a floor over an existing tile floor or my existing concrete floor has been treated with a surface applied curing compound?
No problem. This simply means that the existing concrete or tile floor must be ground or shot blasted prior to installing the new floor system. The important thing is that the existing floor surface be intact, firmly bonded with the existing substrate, free from excessive moisture and level within 1/8” in any 10’ radius.

Q: I have existing racquetball and squash courts with walls that are in very poor condition. What can I do to improve the look and performance of these courts?
Allied Products has a system designed exclusively for renovating existing racquetball, handball or squash court walls. We can install new high density, high impact, tongue and groove, plastic laminate wall panels directly over your existing court walls. This involves installing a vapor barrier over the existing court walls and attaching furring strips over the vapor barrier and onto the wall. New plastic laminate wall panels are then installed onto the furring strips. The result is a brand new professional, championship quality court wall surface that will serve you for many years to come.

Q: What options are available for me to provide flexible use of my racquetball courts?
A popular way to provide maximum flexibility for your racquetball courts is to install a movable glass wall system. This allows you to easily (with 60 seconds) convert your racquetball court to a squash court. For example, Allied Products can install a 20’ wide x 7’ high movable glass wall system into the rear wall of your existing racquetball court(s). With the movable glass wall in the racquetball position you simply play racquetball. If you wish to play squash simply unlock the glass wall system and glide the glass wall forward 8 ft. to the squash position, slide the locking pins into place and play squash! This movable glass wall system can also be set up to glide the full length of your racquetball court resulting in a completely open room for any number of uses. Contact Allied Products to see how this system can work for your situation.

Q: What is Quartz Carpet™?
Quartz Carpet™ is a seamless stone flooring system utilizing natural quartz granules in various sizes and finished in various colors. The quartz stones are graded by sizes and selected by shape to result in unrivaled aesthetics and performance.

Quartz Carpet™ is the result of over 25 years of product development in Europe, producing a unique coating system for quartz granules that ensure uniform color, UV stability and a color range of over 1,000 colors.

Quartz Carpet™ granules are mixed together with an extremely strong epoxy binder and hand troweled into place approximately 1/4” to 5/16” thick (depending on the requirement). The result is a hand cast floor system that is seamless (no grout) and is resistant to most common chemicals including most solvents, greases and acids. Colors can be side matched or separated with aluminum or brass Terrazzo divider strips.

Quartz Carpet™ offers a variety of architectural uses. Whether the requirements are commercial (shops), Industrial (schools/colleges), Recreational or Residential, Quartz Carpet™ has a system for these applications.
